I've had a horrible first experience at the gyno before seeing Adenike, and this was a breath of fresh air. I felt comfortable and confident here.

Dr. Auguste is a very nice and personable doctor! I found that she was non-judgmental and patient enough to give me detailed answers to my many questions about sexual health. I wanted to make her my regular GYN doctor and I still might. The con is the office set up. I had to wait a long time but and they explained there were special circumstances that day. Also, I made a second appointment via zocdoc and I couldn’t get through to anyone at the front desk to cancel/reschedule it. The NYU system is difficult to navigate but I might try it again because I really did like Dr. Auguste and her nurses- and it can be hard to find a good GYN in the city, especially one with a sense of humor.

So I thought Dr. Adenike Auguste was a very nice person, her bedside manor was good and she made me feel comfortable but I don't think I will go back. I asked for some more information about different kinds of birth control and I told her that I specifically did not want to be prescribed one brand. Lo and behold, I went to pick up my prescription and it was the exact brand I said I did NOT want. It was hectic getting in touch with her office, my insurance and the pharmacist to get everything straightened out and I felt like she didn't really talk through my options with me as much as I would've hoped. She's a nice person, but her office seemed very busy/slightly disorganized and as if she didn't have enough time to give me the care I hoped to get.

I really liked Adenike. She is very kind and knowledgeable. I will say though that the nurse who did my intake seemed like she was in a huge rush and seemed to get annoyed with me when I was trying to remember dates of past surgeries or family medical history. I did mention it to her and she slowed down a bit, but it was very off-putting.

I'm really pleased with my visit with Adenike and the experience I had at Langone. Everyone was very polite, Adenike made me feel really comfortable (we discussed some personal sexual issues and I didn't feel judged at all) and the whole thing was over and done with very quickly!
