Dr. Adrian Gonzalez was born and raised in Washington Heights in New York City. He attended the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education of the City University of New York where he received his Bachelor of Science. He then attended SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, NY where he received his medical degree in 2002. While at SUNY Downstate he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Gonzalez subsequently completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Columbia University Medical Center in 2005. He then joined the faculty at Columbia University Medical Center with an appointment in the Division of Hospital Medicine from 2005-2013. In 2008, he was selected to receive one of the hospital’s Physician of the Year awards.
Dr. Gonzalez has been in private practice since 2013. He currently also holds a part-time appointment at Columbia University Medical Center where he works as a hospitalist.
