Overall everything went pretty smooth. Outside of a couple of quirks.
1. For some reason I had 2 appointments in the system. I assume one directly from the website and one from Zocdoc
2. If have been trying to get my prescription filled since last week, and have left a couple of messages. It needs to be sent into my Kroger so I can pick it up, but so far no luck.

Part of the lengthy time in the wait was because they didn't show my appointment and they had to get paperwork together and merge my file with my previous name to my new name. The staff was all great and helpful and very kind and the dr remembered me from 6 years ago and was quick and ready to get things going to find the route cause of my issue.

Dr. Adi Malhotra is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist in the Coastal GI Group. After graduating from a prestigious Medical School in India, he migrated to the United States in 2003. After a year of research training at Yale University, he moved to Texas where he completed a residency in Internal medicine and a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at UTMB, Galveston.
Dr. Malhotra received additional exposure and training in Gastroenterology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston during the fellowship. He has been in private practice since 2010, and joined the Coastal GI Group in 2011.
Dr. Malhotra is proficient in most GI Procedures such as EGD, Colonoscopy, Hemorrhoidal banding and IRC, ERCP etc. He is married and is blessed with a 2 year old son.

Dr Malhotra has a nice bed side manner. He listened to my GI concerns and did not try to “ brush” them away like my last GI doctor. I will be having tests and then a follow up in the next 3 weeks.
