The office was clean and presentable, and the receptionist was very friendly. They did not seem to fully understand me when I told them I filled out the paperwork already on Zocdoc, and they asked me to fill out all the paperwork again.
I had a 9:00 AM appointment, which is the earliest they do. I arrived 10 minutes early but still did not actually meet the doctor until close to 9:40. He spent five minutes with me before leaving. He was not rude or condescending, which was nice; however, he seemed uninterested in taking the time to really understand any of my history other than the very basics although this was the first time he ever saw me. He said I need to take some labs but did not confirm whether or not I fasted beforehand, which I thought should have been asked.
Upon my second visit, he said my cholesterol was high and he was going to prescribe me a medication to assist with bringing it down. He never actually prescribed anything. Luckily, my wife is a retail pharmacist and called the office twice to ensure that a prescription would be given.
I will not be going back to this doctor's office as I did not feel like a valued patient. The fact that he did not even send in my prescription or even write it in my file shows the lack of concern he had for a new patient under his care.
