I am a board certified orthopedic surgeon, in practice in McHenry since 2009. I treat long bone fractures, I perform hip, knee, and shoulder joint replacements, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery: ACL reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs, etc. I perform the "direct anterior approach" hip replacements.
My treatment philosophy is simple: treat everybody the same way, the way I would like to be treated myself. It is often the case that multiple treatment options exist for the same orthopedic condition, and deciding on a particular treatment is not straightforward. In such cases, I will try to steer you towards the less invasive treatment possible for your condition. Risks and benefits of each treatment should always be taken into account, however, I believe that nonsurgical treatment should always be considered before any other treatment.
