Dr. Tobey is an experienced and compassionate physician, specializing in the care of females of all ages. He was raised in a home that also housed his father’s medical practice in Southern Illinois. Dr. Tobey is a natural diagnostician with built-in intuition formed from a childhood of accompanying his father on house calls to treat the entire community, caring for illness and delivering babies.
His medical training began at the world’s oldest maternity hospital, the Rotunda at Trinity University, Dublin, Ireland. After earning his M.D. at Trinity, Dr. Tobey completed his residency at Washington University – St. Louis, after which he completed a year of specialty high risk pregnancy training.
Dr. Tobey is Board Certified in OB/GYN and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of OB/GYN at Washington University School of Medicine. He is on staff at Mercy Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, Missouri Baptist Hospital and Barnes Jewish Hospital.
