Dr. Cordero was born in Dominican Republic ; he went to medical school at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra. After, practicing for 2 years in Dominican Republic, he moved to New York City and worked in research at Columbia University. He did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens;then he moved to Miami where he did his fellowship/sub specialty of Geriatrics at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital. He has been practicing in Miami FL, since 2003, he is an assistant professor at Florida International University. Dr. Cordero is dedicated not only to his young patients, but also to the elderly population for which he is one of the few physicians in South Florida who specializes in geriatric medicine. He dedicates at least one day of the week to go and visit many of his patients in the different nursing and rehab centers. Dr. Cordero provides follow up to his private patients when they are hospitalized.

I'm getting a new DR. These people are unprofessional and do not seem to take their profession seriously. The receptionist kept calling me a different name while she had my ID in her hand. They then gave me a 9 am appointment but didn't show up until 9:30.
I'm changing this DR as his staff is horrible.
