Dr. Luqman is a native of Michigan and was raised in the Southend of Dearborn. His father was a endocrinologist and inspired him to pursue a medical career. His mother deeply emphasized the significance of faith and ethics in Dr. Luqman’s upbringing towards his dealings with family, community, and friends. Despite the struggles of coping with his father’s battle with cancer and supporting his single mother’s household, Dr. Luqman was able to attend the University of Michigan and maintain a high GPA during his undergraduate studies. He then graduated from Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami. Dr. Luqman completed dual fellowship in cerebrovascular and endovascular/interventional neurosurgery. Due to his dual training, Dr. Luqman brings a unique perspective in treatment of cerebrovascular disease such as stroke, aneurysms, arteriovenous/malformations, vascular fistulas, and tumors. Although Dr. Luqman has a keen interest in cerebrovascular disease, he treats all etiologies of cranial and spinal disease. Having broad training as well as specialty training, Dr. Luqman is capable of treating many disease entities with various methods, including minimally invasive and microsurgical techniques. When Dr. Luqman is not treating his patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, 3 kids, and family. Dr. Luqman is fluent in Arabic.
