Dr. Salas is the best pediatrician I've encountered. My son is always happy to see her (and vice versa). She is not only patient with kids, but with adults as well: Never condescending, and never too rushed. When we went through the winter of never-ending illness last year, I felt fortunate to have her so close to home.

Dr. Salas was so friendly and great with our three year old son. She answered our questions and was not judgemental or pushy when we declined a certain vaccine. We are very glad to have found her as a provider for our son!

Dr. Alicia Salas cares for patients in our Hoboken North and Secaucus offices. She obtained her undergraduate degree from University of Notre Dame in 2005 and her medical degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL in 2010. At Midwestern, she was a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, a society that honors medical students who have “demonstrated excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication to service.” Dr. Salas completed her pediatric training at Maimonides Infants & Children’s Hospital of Brooklyn. During her residency, she participated in a Quality Improvement Project on improving the hospital discharge process and volunteered at a local elementary school in Brooklyn where she taught classes on a variety of health-related topics. Dr. Salas is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Salas believes that the best way to foster optimal health and wellness is to practice good preventative medicine. She explains, “promoting healthy habits from an early age is paramount to overall wellness throughout childhood and later in life. Every patient is unique and through careful listening, the physician can collaborate with parents in providing the best care for children.” Dr. Salas played Division I tennis for the University of Notre Dame and attained an individual top 25 national ranking. In addition to tennis, she enjoys running, watching movies, and traveling to new places. A Denver-native, she currently lives in New York City with her husband.

I'm always able to get appt in on same day. I never wait and Dr. Salas is always so welcoming and warm. (I'm a first time mom so I'm always nervous!) I have been visiting Riverside for the last year and I'm very happy with my experience thus far.

We love Dr Salas. She's very gentle and caring with our son. She takes her time answering all my questions. The staff is great as well. They are very welcoming as soon as you enter the building. We strongly recommend Dr Salas to any one.
