Dr. Atchison is originally from Northern Michigan, earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University before attending Optometry School at Indiana University. She completed a residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at Indiana University, bringing with her the skill to fit numerous specialty contact lenses.
As an optometry student, Dr. Atchison had the opportunity to complete numerous externships throughout the continent, including Glenview Vision Care in Glenview, IL; Bennett and Bloom Eye Care Center in Louisville, KY and Clinica Optometrica Hospital General in Guanajuato, Mexico. Through these Externships, Dr. Atchison treated many different ocular diseases, developing a passion for eye care, while gaining experience working in various hospital and private practice settings.

Dr. Atchison made me feel like her top priority when I went for my last visit. She was very effective at communicating with me & explained things in a way I could understand. She also helped me pick out a pair of really cute frames! When i showed up for my appointment. I was taken back to the exam room within a few minutes. Overall, EXTREMELY PLEASED w/ Dr. Atchison & her staff. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I was very impressed with Dr. Atchison and her staff at Atchison Eyecare. When I arrived for my appointment, I immediately felt welcome as I was greeted in a warm professional manner by her staff. The office has a modern, eclectic vibe that is really cool and appealing. The check in was quick and easy and I waited only a few minutes before Dr Atchison introduced herself and guided me into her office. Dr. Atchison took her time, explained the testing and made me feel comfortable. She answered all my questions fully. There were tons of glasses to choose from and her optician was wonderful in helping me choose a great pair of glasses.

Dr. Atchison was very thorough, explained everything in detail & age appropriate to Paris. Had a great chair side manner with Paris. Great frame selection for all ages. Friendly & helpful staff. Clean office with updated equipment.
