Dr. Wu is very professional and warm. She took the time to engage with me and get to know me a little better, then communicated with me throughout the appointment about what was going on and kept the exams as painless as possible. She is clearly knowledgeable and skilled but it's a nice bonus that she's a lovely person. This was my first gynecologist appointment in a few years and Dr. Wu makes the prospect of future checkups much easier to digest.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Alison Wu to the Northwestern Specialists for Women. Dr. Wu is well skilled in providing a wide spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic care. She promotes preventive and holistic healthcare across the ages, ranging from adolescence to menopause. Her obstetric interests include infertility, advanced maternal age, multiple gestations, pregnant athletes, and high-risk pregnancies. Her gynecologic interests focus on STD prevention, menstrual irregularities, PCOS, fibroid management, sexual dysfunction, and menopause. She is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and is skilled in minimally invasive surgery. She is also a member of the Chicago Gynecologic Society and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Wu received her Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Holistic Healthcare from Wheaton College, graduating Summa Cum Laude. During college, she spent a significant portion of time living in rural Ghana studying public health. Her passion for the underserved led to her participation in the Princeton Public Interest Program, Project 55, assisting with STD research and awareness among adolescents in Los Angeles. She obtained her medical degree from Loyola University in Chicago. During her time in medical school, she maintained her commitment to healthcare and human rights. She then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern University Prentice Women’s Hospital. She is a Clinical Instructor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.

Dr. Wu was amazing! This was my first visit with her so she went through my medical history and answered all of my questions and gave me the information and resources I needed. She was really great and super comfortable to talk to. I super recommend her!! Also her nurses were super sweet and friendly and the front desk person that helped me was friendly and personable. All around a really great experience.

Everyone at this office is so nice and efficient. There was hardly any wait time and when I did see the doctor she put me at ease immediately with her bedside manner. She was very helpful and gave great recommendations and referrals. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Wu!

My appointment with Dr. Wu was excellent. She was very thorough and showed a genuine concern for the topics I addressed with her. She answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. She was very proactive in making sure things were solved and/or done right the first time. The offices are also very nice and clean and the staff was friendly.

The office did a great job making sure you're aware of their policies before you're appointment - much appreciated! I had my first appointment scheduled for 10am and I was informed to arrive 30 min early in order to get registered as a new patient. I arrived nearly an hour early and I was taken before even checking in with the front desk. Dr Wu is incredibly friendly, informative, and thorough. I would highly recommend her to any woman! Very pleased with my appointment.

I needed to find a new Ob-gyn. I did my research and I am so glad I found Dr. Wu. Not only were her staff friendly, so was the nurse and, obviously, Dr. Wu.
She was so understanding and comforting. I am so excited to have found a great women's health place that makes you at ease.
