I am very appreciative of Dr. Solyar's care for my son. He has had chronic sinusitis for 14 years. In out initial visit she provided an action plan to follow. When he got a sinus infection the office got us in for an appointment right away. This was a follow up from his last sinus infection. It's like I have a different child. Rather than constantly sick and missing school, her treatment has allowed him to be a student athlete.

Dr. Alla Solyar is a board certified otolaryngologist with subspecialty training in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery. She is committed to evidence based, compassionate care. Alla Y. Solyar, MD was born in Moscow, Russia and moved with her family to United States in 1990. She was raised since her early teens in the Bronx, NY. She is a graduate of Brandeis University (magna cum laude & Phi Beta Kappa) and completed her medical school and residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. At Einstein she won 1st place in a resident research competition with great endorsements from highly regarded faculty. Dr. Solyar completed her Rhinology & Fellowship training at the Sinus& Nasal Institute of Florida in 2011. Subsequent to her fellowship at SNI, Dr. Solyar returned to the Northeast to practice otolaryngology for 1 year before returning to SNI. While at the SNI, Dr. Solyar published commentary on “Pedicled Nasoseptal Flaps” which was acknowledged as important for the literature by leading Rhinologists. She has presented her clinical studies at multiple state and national conferences, including presentations on “Hyposmia & Pituitary Adenoma” to the American Rhinologic Society in April 2011, “Atypical Mycobacterium Detection in Refractory Chronic Rhinosinusitis” in September 2011 to the American Academy of Otolaryngology Annual Meeting, and “Microbial DNA Analysis of Sinus Purulence: Advantages & Disadvantages compared to standard microbiology” to the Florida Society of Otolaryngology in 2014. Her published works on “Atypical Mycobacterium Detection in Refractory Chronic Rhinosinusitis” and “Rhinosporidiosis” help guide patient care. Dr. Solyar is a co-author of multiple book chapters in rhinology literature including “Nasal & Paranasal Sinus Anatomy & Embryology,” “Computer Assistance in Sinus Surgery,” “Anti-inflammatory therapy in sinusitis.” She returned to the Sinus & Nasal Institute of Florida in 2013 and has been treating patients with complex sinus and nasal disorders including sinusitis, nasal/sinus tumors, cerebrospinal fluid leaks and orbital pathology. She is an active member of the American Rhinologic Society, American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and Florida Society of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. Since 2014 she has been serving on the St. Anthony’s Hospital Continuing Medical Education Committee and the American Rhinologic Society Patient Advocacy Committee. She was an invited member of the 2015 Program Committee for the American Rhinologic Society Annual Meeting. Her other administrative duties include running a monthly otolaryngology journal club.
On a personal note she is a proud mother of two lovable, busy and determined toddlers. Her husband is a University of Tampa professor who studies marine mammalian vision. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family, cook and read.
