After graduating from medical school, Dr. Lam completed an intern year in general surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and residency training in otolaryngology at Mass. Eye and Ear/Harvard Medical School. He joined the Mass. Eye and Ear staff and is now based at Mass. Eye and Ear, Medford and Longwood. Dr. Lam sees both adult and pediatric patients with all types of ENT-related disorders.
Dr. Lam strives to provide excellent care for his patients and offer treatment plans that provide the best potential benefits. As a provider, he tries to be as minimally invasive as possible and offers many in-office procedures for conditions related to the sinuses, nasal-breathing and voice. Dr. Lam treats the full spectrum of adult and pediatric ENT conditions including sinus problems, chronic stuffy nose, ear or hearing problems, and voice/throat disorders.
Dr. Lam knows that patients come to see him with many ENT symptoms that, at face value, appear very similar. However, he also understands that upon closer inspection, each patient may have multiple factors impacting his or her symptoms and may have very different and unique conditions. He says, “Each patient requires an individualized treatment plan, whether that includes medical therapies, an office procedure, or more invasive surgery. No two people are exactly the same. It’s important to find out what works for each individual patient.”
