As a non-diet dietitian, my goal is to help you achieve your health goals through learning key aspects of balanced nutrition for you and your body. At the end of the day, my job is to help you build the tools you need to eventually help you navigate your health on your own. I have worked with clients managing a variety of health conditions including kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, and GI conditions, but I welcome anyone seeking to optimize their nutrition and lifestyle habits. In our initial session, my goal is to learn more about you and your background. We will discuss your nutrition and medical histories, your relationship with food, your current activity & lifestyle, your key nutrition concerns, and any relevant lab work you may have (if applicable). From there we will work together to evaluate what role food plays in your life and develop goals to improve your health and help you feel your best! I received my Bachelor of Science at Cornell University in Nutritional Science in 2016. Afterwards I completed my dietetic internship through Wellness Workdays with a focus in Worksite Wellness and Health Promotion. Once I became a dietitian in 2019, I have had clinical experience doing contract work in healthcare clinics around Northern California and later as a renal dietitian with the dialysis population. I became a dietitian because I am passionate about preventative care, and I believe a key aspect to preventing chronic disease is through nutrition and wellness practices - i.e. sleep, stress management, physical activity, and regular visits with your healthcare professionals. This passion has led me to begin my own private practice, so that I can work 1:1 with clients more flexibly and provide the time and care that they need to reach their individualized health goals. In my free time, you can find me cooking for friends and family, exploring new restaurants and eateries with with my husband (we're total foodies!) or snuggling with my 2 golden retrievers.
