Dr. Urrutia is a superb physician. She is both professional and personable. She listens attentively to my concerns and provides answers in layman's terms. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has made this reluctant patient much more proactive about monitoring my health on a regular basis.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Urrutia! She's knowledgeable, caring, and doesn't laugh at my most outrageous questions. When I had a miscarriage she didn't pity me. Instead she encouraged me to prepare for later pregnancies that my husband and I plan to have. She was great with my son and although she wasn't able to deliver him, I was thankful that the team was there for us! They are all awesome and I look forward to having her as my ob-gyn again!

As the eighth of twelve children, Dr. Allison Urrutia's interest in obstetrics began at a young age. She was born in Ohio and relocated to Austin upon completion of medical school at Northeastern Ohio Medical University. She completed her training in Obstectrics and Gynecology at University of Texas Southwestern in Austin in 2011. While in training, she began her family with the birth of her two children, Emma and Oliver.
Dr Urrutia provides personalized obstetrical and gynecological care for patients of all ages. She is an advocate for preventative care for women throughout their lives, including annual well woman exams and women’s healthcare screening. She is committed to building a trusting relationship through each office visit.
Dr. Urrutia’s obstetric practice includes expertise in both routine and high risk pregnancy care. Her gynecologic expertise includes preconceptual counseling, contraceptive management, infertility evaluation and treatment, treatment of abnormal pap smears, menstrual problems, menopause and hormone replacement therapy, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary incontinence.
Dr. Urrutia’s practice interests include minimally invasive surgery. She is certified in DaVinci Robotic surgery and SILS (Single Incision Laporoscopic Surgery).

This was my second visit with Dr. Urrutia and she has been great both times. The front desk forgot to check me in so I had to wait in the waiting room for about 45 minutes but things happen, no big deal. Once I got into the exam room it was in and out - Dr. Urrutia was very quick, helpful and sweet.

This was my first visit. Though it was a pretty simple appointment, Dr. Urrutia made me feel at ease. She was straightforward without seeming rushed or distracted. She was professional, sincere, and pleasant.

I wasn't seen until over an hour after my appointment. Other patients who came in after I did were seen before I was. The front desk and nursing staff were friendly. I wasn't really given opportunity to ask about everything I wanted to at my appointment. This could partially be my fault because I'm not very outspoken, but I thought I should at least have been asked if there was anything else I was concerned about, not just the specific questions I was asked. Other than that, the doctor did seem nice and professional when I met with her.
