Dr. Amy Wolthoff grew up locally in Grapevine, Texas and attended Colleyville Heritage High School. She then completed four years at the University of Oklahoma, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Pre-Med. During this time, she was on the National Dean’s List, the President’s Honor Roll and was recognized as a Leadership Scholar.
In 2009, she received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. While in medical school, Dr. Wolthoff was the founder of the Student Run Skin Clinic in San Antonio, Miles for Melanoma project and the Sun Protection Project. She was also the founder and president of the Dermatology Interest Group at the university.
Dr. Wolthoff completed her internship year of Internal Medicine at Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas, Texas. She then joined the Department of Dermatology at the Texas Tech Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas, where she received the Resident Leadership Award for recognition in superior leadership qualities, professionalism, teamwork and dedication to the residency program. During her final year of residency she served as Chief Dermatology Resident, completing her residency program in June 2013. She completed her Dermatology Board Exam and became Board Certified in Dermatology July 2013.

Dr. Wolthoff and Jason were amazing. Everyone was friendly and easygoing. I will definitely be going back and recommending to friends and family. Office was very modern and clean. My prescription was called in to the pharmacy before I had even left the office. My concerns were taken seriously and addressed right away. What more could I ask for?

I went in for an annual skin screening. The women at the front desk were very warm and inviting. And the wait time was less than five minutes. Once I was called to the back, it was less then five minutes again before Dr. Wolthoff saw me. She was extremely personable and kept me at ease through the screening. She even took the time to explain what to look for when performing a self screening. I will definitely be going back to her for future dermatology concerns, and I highly recommend her to others.

My experience was good overall. I waited an excessive amount of time, I felt before actually being seen. They ask you to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time, and then I waited an additional 25 minutes before the doctor came into the room. Other than that, I would recommend it. Good location, parking is easy.

First visit was a pleasant one and the wait time to see the Dr Wolthoff was surprisingly minimal. The actual visit with the doctor was very personable and she was very friendly in her manner of discussing what she observed as the problem . As her practice was not affiliated with my insurance, I had to pay out of pocket but was very grateful that she provided a reasonable means in which to make her services affordable and possible. I appreciated her willingness to provide her services at a reasonable and affordable price! All in all the visit with Dr Wolthoff was amazing and appreciated.

She answered all my questions and gave me options about how I wanted to be treated. Sometimes it can be awkward having someone look at your skin but she made me feel very comfortable. Alex was great too. I asked for a moisturizer recommendation and she loaded me up with some samples.

I recently moved to Dallas and needed a new dermatologist. I loved my old doc, so I knew Dr. Wolthoff would have some big shoes to fill, but she surpassed my expectations. She was professional yet friendly, and made me feel really comfortable - even when she was examining my whole body for suspicious moles :-) She is extremely knowledgeable, and presented all my options to me prior to offering any treatments. I will definitely be returning. My only gripe was the wait time, but seeing as how Dr. Wolthoff spent so much time with me and didn't rush me, I can let that slide. Also, all of her staff was very personable and respectful.
