“Dr. Andrade practices all aspects of obstetrics, gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, and women’s preventive health” Dr. Andrade recently joined the Plaza Ob/Gyn family in 2020. She was born and raised in the border town of El Paso, Texas and now calls Houston home. She received her undergraduate degree from University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and minor in Chemistry and moved to Phoenix, AZ to pursue a Master of Arts in Biomedical Science from Midwestern University. Dr. Andrade then received her Medical Doctorate from Texas A&M College of Medicine in 2016. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas at Houston at Memorial Hermann Hospital and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital in 2020. During her training, she served as an Administrative Chief Resident in her last year. She was also involved in running the residency program social media accounts and residency wellness program. Dr. Andrade is passionate about all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology with special interest in pregnancy and child birth, small in-office procedures, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Andrade is certified in daVinci robotic surgery. She enjoys getting to know her patients and is also comfortable providing medical care to patients in Spanish. Outside of work you can find Dr. Andrade hanging out with her cat (Colbie), trying out new Houston restaurants, reading interior design magazines, and staying active with running or kickboxing.

It was my first time going to the GYN. I wanted to address some health concerns and also get better informed on birth control methods and guidance on which would be best for me. Dr. Andrade was awesome! She openly listened to my questions and concerns and asked lots of questions to get a good understanding of my situation. She was patient and gave me very open and honest guidance. She even managed to squeeze me in for an ultrasound during my appointment (normally I would have to come back for another appointment). I would certainly recommend her if you are looking for honest, earnest care and you won‘t feel any pressure to choose a particular birth control option or method. I will certainly be back, and for once, actually looking forward to going to the Doctor! Thanks Dr. Andrade. Only downside was that I waited for 1+ after I arrived.

The doctor canceled on me last minute due to a family emergency (which is understandable) but I felt like her office could have done a better job of getting in touch with me so I didn’t have to take off of work and drive out there all for nothing. They should set up a text message system since most people won’t answer calls from unfamiliar numbers with how many spam calls there are nowadays. When I did see Dr. Andrade, she was great, but I had to wait ~45 mins even though I had an early morning appointment and was on time.

Dr. Andrade was great. The nurse was great. The lab tech was great. The office has in house lab and ultrasound tech. The only draw back was the chaotic energy upon arrival. There needs to be a better process of checking folks in. (I came 30 minutes early, as requested and waited an hour to be seen). Maybe make less appointment times to accommodate folks coming in or require that the patience comes alone. I saw plus ones and children, not very wise for COVID19 times. Also, they do not validate parking.
