Best eye doctor appointment that I've had probably ever. Dr. Sanford and here team got me an appointment next day and followed through with a new prescription, checked the health of my eyes and performed dilation. Very clean/organized location and very friendly. The whole process efficient leaving time for concerns or questions. Can't wait to go back for new glasses next year!! Thank you Amanda and team.

Dr. Amanda Sanford was born and raised outside of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She graduated from South Dakota State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in biology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Vision Science in 2007 and her Doctor of Optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia, PA in 2010. She graduated with clinical honors in her primary care, ocular disease, and low vision clinical rotations. Her clinical rotations included training at the Cizik Eye Clinic in Houston, Texas, and Ralph A. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Charleston, SC.
Dr. Sanford has extensive clinical experience in cornea and contact lenses as she has practiced in surgical settings with cornea specialists since completing her doctorate in 2010. She practiced in Rochester, NY prior to moving to South Florida seven years ago. She prides herself on being an exceptional clinician with expertise in primary care, treating and managing ocular disease, pre and post-operative care for refractive and cataract surgery, and specialty contact lens fitting including keratoconus and soft contact lenses, multi-focal and orthokeratology (ortho-K) for controlling the progression of myopia.
She opened Eyes on 3rd to provide high-quality full-scope care for families in our community. She resides in Broward county and enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children. She also enjoys going to the gym, building DIY projects, and baking.
