Office was very busy when I went for my appointment. Had to wait to see a nurse, then back out to the waiting room for another wait before seeing the actual doctor. Everyone seemed knowledgable and highly professional. Doctor's "bedside manner" was fine - gives off the clear impression that he is very busy, but was professional and happy to answer questions.

Dr. Ameet Goyal is a board-certified ophthalmologist and oculoplastic surgeon practicing in Rye and Wappingers Falls, NY. He went to Culver Military Academy and then proceeded to Vanderbilt University where he graduated summa cum laude with high honors in psychology. Dr. Goyal remained in the Midwest for medical school at the University of Cincinnati's School of Medicine and was an AIMS representative. It was during his clinical rotations in medical school, that Dr. Goyal discovered much to his surprise, that he really enjoyed ophthalmology. His father was a general practitioner and he had thought that he would continue in the family tradition. This background led Dr. Goyal to do a rotating internship in medicine at West Virginia University because he believed that as an ophthalmologist, it was important to be able to recognize and take care of systemic diseases and disorders - particularly since many of these manifest themselves in the eye. Dr. Goyal completed his ophthalmology residency at University of Louisville where he was given a Pride in Caring Award. He continued on to Wills Eye Hospital where he completed an accredited fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Goyal is a member of ASOPRS (American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery), an organization of approximately 500 oculoplastic surgeons with stringent credentialing requirements. He is currently in private practice and is involved in teaching at Westchester Medical Center where he is an Assistant Attending Physician at NY Medical College. Dr. Goyal is also a former board member of the NYS Ophthalmology Society.

The wait time was very long. I thought I would have an appointment with Dr. Goyal, instead I spent most of the time with a junior doctor who didn't have near the experience or credentials as Dr. Goyal. Dr. Goyal was great, but overall the experience with this practice was not that great.
