Dr. Patel received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine where he was inducted into the Iota Epsilon Alpha International Medical Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School. He was selected to serve as Chief Medical Resident and was a Clinical Instructor at New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Patel completed a fellowship in hematology & oncology at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center, University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Patel is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, Oncology Society of New Jersey, American Medical Association and American College of Physicians.

Took my father in for an initial consult after having some disturbing CT results. We were super worried all week and after meeting Dr. Patel we feel a huge weight lifted off our hearts. He is thorough, sincere and prompt. Would recommend him to all.

Dr. Patel is simply the best. I am a physician in a different specialty and take a family member of mine to see him. He is one of the most knowledgeable physicians I have ever met. Besides being an excellent clinician, he is a beautiful person. He's caring, goes out of his way for his patients, and truly takes time to explain things to his patients in a way they understand (even in Spanish too!). If you are looking for a Hematologist or Oncologist, look no further, you have found your physician! Not only will I refer my patients to him, but I trust him with my family!

Absolutely loved him. Thought he was very knowledgeable and was able to explain to me what was going in layman terms. I felt very comfortable with him and look forward to working with him in the future. Lastly, he was extremaly kind which is refreshing when visiting a doctor.
