Dr. Amita Chaudhary is a board certified and re-certified primary care physician. She has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Chaudhary is a hands-on doctor. She spends much time listening to her patients and you receive 100 percent of her attention.
Blood tests, PAP smears, breast exams, EKGs, and vascular doppler studies are done in office. Mammograms, bone density scans, x-rays, CAT scans, etc. are done at the attached hospital. Dr. Chaudhary follows up with personal phone calls to all of her patients.
Dr. Chaudhary also has appointments available the second Saturday of each month. Please call for availability.
The practice is located at the Virginia Hospital Center. The office is in the Medical Office Building attached to Parking C (GREEN.) Parking can be difficult so please allow enough time to find a spot.

Dr Amita is thorough, makes sure to listen to you and ask the right questions. She asked about my symptoms throughly before making a diagnosis. She explained the causes and next steps.
Blood work can be done in the office too.
On top of being an expert, she’s super nice!

Overall great experience! There was no crazy wait time in the office. Once I met with Dr Amita, she took the time to understand my ailment and the context under which it occurred. She encouraged me to ask questions and I left the office with tactical advice that I could immediately act on. Highly recommend!

Dr. Amita Chaudhary is an efficient, knowledgeable, compassionate and attentive physician. I have seen her for one physical, and I am extremely impressed. I felt she gave me her undivided attention, covering the lifestyle health issues relevant to my age demographic as well as my specific complaints. I felt she thoroughly described the causes and treatments of my specific complaints, and also gave me some good lifestyle advice I had not heard before (apparently men need calcium as they age as well!). There was minimal waiting, and her staff was polite and attentive during the wait. There is an on site phlebotomist who drew my blood painlessly, and the convenience was a huge plus. Dr. Chauhary called me with my results only a few days later, and spend some time on the phone describing what they mean.
Overall, extremely positive experience. Would highly recommend her as a GP.

Dr. Chaudhary is one of the best doctors I've ever had. She's very honest, knowledgeable, and patient in answering questions. She doesn't rush you as most other doctors do and take time to understand your issue and diagnose any ailments you have. Happy I found her!

Really pleased with my first time visit to Dr. Chaudary. I have a lot of anxiety about medical procedures and needles- her calm manner put me at ease. She asked a lot of questions and made sure all of my concerns were addressed. She provided a lot of relevant info and helpful suggestions based on my current circumstances, making sure I was informed, and ultimately letting me make my own decisions based on that info. When it came time for my flu shot and blood draw, she made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. It all went quickly and smoothly, which is exactly what I needed as an anxious patient. Only downsides are parking and finding the office in the huge medical center complex (she’s in building C).

I went in for an annual physical, which surprisingly didn’t test for as much as previous physicals I’ve had and I had to specifically request to check certain vitamin levels. Like another reviewer mentioned, they did try to push the flu shot on me multiple times, even after I’d said I wasn’t interested. I overall had an okay experience there. I left knowing that I wouldn’t make her my primary care physician, but the experience was fine. It was the follow up after that really bothered me. I received a voicemail with the results of my bloodwork, with no mention of a specific issue we had discussed. I called back and left multiple messages for the doctor with no response. Called back a 4th time, over a month later, and the receptionist was surprised I hadn’t received a call back and knew exactly what I was talking about. She gave me my answer, which in the end, has set me back a month in figuring out what’s going on with me. I know doctors are busy, but getting answers to health issues should not be this hard.

Dr. Chaudhary is knowledgeable and clearly cares about patient health. I appreciate that she recommended I lay down to have blood drawn (to help with light-headedness) and remembered when I came back the following year for my physical.
