Dr. Amy Cook, MD
Dr. Amy Cook is a rare Denver native. After leaving the state for her undergraduate education at North Carolina State University, she returned to her home state of Colorado for medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She then completed her Family Medicine residency training at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital. Dr. Cook became a Family Medicine physician because she enjoys caring for the whole patient and the whole family throughout the spectrum of life. She thrives on the diversity Family Medicine offers as a specialty. Although she has a particular interest in women's health and pediatrics, she also enjoys caring for other members of the family and a variety of different medical issues. She values the importance of listening to her patients' concerns with empathy and compassion, appreciates the emotional aspects of her patients' health, and believes that establishing strong and lasting physician/patient relationships is the key to providing quality care for her patients. Dr. Cook believes wellness starts with prevention and knowledge and thus tries to incorporate preventative medicine and health education into every patient visit. She also speaks Spanish and loves caring for Spanish speaking patients and patients of various different cultures and ethnicities. Dr. Cook lives here in Lowy with her husband and two young children. They enjoy spending their free time in the Colorado outdoors running, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, camping, backpacking, and hiking.

Patient reviews for Dr. Amy Cook
Always great! They didn't receive the zocdoc appt but still got me in. Amy is very thorough and she's extremely knowledgeable.
She was nice and attentive.
A very pleasant person to talk with. She didn't rush through the appointment, something you can't always say about doctors these days!
I felt like my physical was not thorough at all. I felt like she was taking a chance to promote her other practice at another location. I would not recommend to someone that I cared about.
I felt very comfortable with her and will definately recommend others to visit with her.
Very nice and helpful. Understanding and Easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend her.
Very professional AND a good listener!
