Dr. Shah graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University. She went on to receive her Medical Doctorate with Distinction from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Shah completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Harvard Medical School's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She then pursued sub-specialty training in Allergy & Immunology at Columbia University's New York Presbyterian Medical Center.
Dr. Shah is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Board Eligible in her specialty. She is a published author and she holds active membership in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, Immunology.
In addition to the treatment of diseases and disorders of asthma, allergy and the immune system in both children and adults, Dr. Shah also has expertise in allergen immunotherapy, venom desensitization, patch testing for skin allergies, and treatment for food allergies. In addition, she has received unique training in performing drug desensitizations to medications such as aspirin and antibiotics.
When not working, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with her two children, running, hiking, and playing tennis.
