I don’t really know how to rate this visit bc it was my first time with my daughter and she saw her for 2 seconds. I heard and read really good reviews about Dr Duarte and I went there super excited thinking that she was going to spend more time analyzing her but she didn’t. She was super nice though, even if it was 2 seconds. The nurse was really nice and explained everything to me. Even tho the experience was not as I expected it would be I still have hope that she sent my daughter the right treatment and that she’s going to get better. Hopefully I’m able to have a different experience in a month when I have to go back with my daughter.

Dr. Ana M. Duarte, MD is Board Certified in both Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatologist and provides care affecting the skin, hair, and nails to patients of all ages, from newborns to senior citizens. Her areas of expertise include the treatment of vascular birthmarks, lasers, and pediatric dermatology.
After graduating from the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Duarte continued her training at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine where she completed a pediatric residency, a fellowship in pediatric dermatology, and a residency in dermatology.
As the Director of the Division of Dermatology, Department of Pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Dr. Duarte has brought her love of skin and children to the forefront. Dr. Duarte’s passion for dermatology and teaching has offered her the opportunity to serve in several teaching capacities, as well as, mentoring students to pursue careers in pediatric dermatology.
Dr. Duarte is a well-respected speaker at both international and national conferences. She has co-authored and edited numerous articles in pediatric dermatology journals and books. Dr. Duarte is a proud member of several societies including the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Vascular Birthmark Foundation.
In 1995, Dr. Duarte founded the Children’s Skin Center. Her mission is to provide excellent dermatology care to both her pediatric dermatology as well as her adult dermatology patients. The private practice has grown to meet the community’s dermatology needs and has multiple offices throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.
Dr. Duarte is fluent in English and Spanish. On her leisure time, she enjoys competitive ice dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family

Waiting time is horrible. Checked in 15 mins early. Seen by the doc 1hr and 30 mins after. I dont know if its by appointment time or first come first serve basis. There were maybe 4 patients already in the room when I came then 3-4 more patients came after me.. They were all called already while me and another patient left outside still waiting. When its my turn have to wait another 15 mins inside the room only to be seen by a doctor no more than 5 mins.

I made my daughters appt for 1. I arrived at 1245. Was told they are at lunch and don’t see patients until 115. Why make a 1pm appt? We weren’t brought in until 135.
However, the provider was great. With a wonderful bedside manner, who put my daughter at ease. So what started off rocky ended up being good.
