Her three year Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship was completed at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Bakken also has a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research from Rush University. She has presented papers at national conferences on gastrointestinal diseases. She performs all diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. She is a member of the American Medical Society, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Bakken is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy.
