He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2021 with clinical honors. He has worked alongside Retinal, Glaucoma, Cataract, Neurologic and Oculoplastic Surgeons at the OMNI Center for Advanced Eye Care in New Jersey and Newington VA Hospital in Connecticut.

Angel Arizmendy, OD. This doctor is a unicorn! He has the most amazing bedside manner, he listens attentively, he actually cares, he wants to know your history so he can diagnose correctly. Doctors like this do not exist anymore in my opinion, so unicorn still isn't even the word! Doctor. Doctor, thank you so much for everything. You eased my mind. You help me figure out what was going on and the treatment work too LOL! Thank you! Just thank you so very much and Sean is amazing too and I'm sure he knows LOL. I look forward to actually seeing you guys when my glasses come in! Highly recommended, he gave me peace of mind, which is the most important thing in the world! It was a blessing to meet these people... Please be gentle with this doctor lol. We have to preserve him... I'm being silly but seriously. He's amazing. It’s such a relief to have an eye doctor that explains everything that he’s doing and why. I was early for my appointment, but was seen almost right away! The office is beautiful and the entire office is so incredibly friendly, I don’t feel pushed to buy frames I don’t want. It’s amazing!!

I had an incredible experience at Cohen’s Fashion Optical in Freehold. I was greeted by a very friendly salesman, Shawn, who was very helpful when picking out my new pair of glasses. Dr. Arizmendy I was very thorough with the eye exam, and explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. He took a photo of the back of my eye without having to dilate my eyes, which was amazing! I didn’t know that there are other alternatives without the use of dilation. Overall, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. They also had a great selection of designer, eyeglasses and sunglasses, as well as eyeglasses that were lower price if you had a budget. I will definitely be back next year. I highly recommend.
