We are thrilled to share the wonderful news that Dr. Angela Kumar recently welcomed a baby boy! She is currently on maternity leave and unavailable for patient care until further notice. Thank you for your understanding during this special time for her and her family.
Dr. Kumar was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, following in Dr. Slusky’s footsteps.
Known for her dedication to comprehensive eye care, Dr. Kumar specializes in primary care, ocular disease, and Dry Eye Disease management. She is passionate about helping patients of all ages improve their quality of life through exceptional eye care. Her patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic approach ensures every visit is thorough and personalized.
When not in the office, Dr. Kumar enjoys traveling, baking, trying new fitness classes (to balance her love of sweets), and spending quality time with her family and friends.
We look forward to welcoming Dr. Kumar back after her maternity leave. In the meantime, our team remains available six days a week to provide the exceptional care you’ve come to expect.

I love this place! Every doctor or staff I’ve seen is kind and caring. Somehow they make dilating drops and eye exams enjoyable. Plus it’s so fancy; I feel like I’m in some French boutique when I walk in, not a medical facility. They have awesome hi-tech imaging (for not that much money) that basically tattled one and showed I wore my contacts too long. It’s helped me adopt a better habit of changing my contacts out sooner and my eyes haven’t felt better!

Wonderful and pleasant experience all around. The staff that I had the pleasure of meeting made my visit feel smooth and welcoming. Additionally, Dr. Kumar was excellent. Aside from being kind and fun to converse with, she genuinely cared about making sure I left with the right prescription and took the time to inform me about my eyes and what's going on with them in detail. It felt as if I was there to get glasses while making friends along the way. I give everything two thumbs up!
