Dr. Anderson is wonderful - great bedside manner, very personable, very willing to help. However, block out time to see her if you make an appointment - I think the clinic was really backed up the day I went - I waited over two hours after my scheduled appointment time before I wasn't able to be seen.

Dr Anderson was super nice and efficient! Even though my wait time was a bit long as a new pt, her staff squeezed in my lab work after hours which was much appreciate. Would definitely come back if need be

I've been with Dr. Anderson for a while. She was carrying her youngest child & that child is now 7. Dr. Anderson is very concerned with all areas of your life. She talks to you about your family and is always concerned. She listens to what you have to say and always guides you to think things out thoroughly. She will not tell you what you should do but her insights guide you to consider solutions that will be a benefit to you as a person. I admire her tremendously. I trust her immensely. Yes, she has people who complain. But she is very generous with her time with her patients... ALL OF THEM. There may be a wait; but that's a small price to pay for excellence in healthcare. Getting care from Dr. Anderson is well worth the wait for her valuable contribution to your life.

She is very attentive and has a very pleasant manner. She had been very thorough in getting a full workup/baseline on my overall health and seeking to follow it up. Cons: The office, however, can be less than communicative in refilling prescriptions and her assistant has a penchant for arbitrarily scheduling appointments WITHOUT regard for the patients' schedule. (This is ongoing) The assistant has also falsely insisted to have followed up on communication (she called or left messages) when she clearly has not.
she's Great !!

She is the best doctor ever! I was away for a while but when I walked in today, it was as if I never left. She's engaging and caring. She has empathy, as well as, the practical everyday, common sense knowledge of a professional who is well-versed in the ways that life can affect our health. I have experienced quite a few losses in the past few months-- thank God she is not one of them.

The doctor was very nice and helpful, but the wait to see the doctor is ridiculous!!!.. My appointment was at 1030am i was not seen till 1130am.. I was weak, nauseated and felt like throwing up... Then on top of that they wanted blood work, had to wait AGAIN...they only had one person drawing blood out of 20 of them smh... That i dont understand... U got another nurse following another nurse around watching... I found that rude... I finally walked out and just got my meds.. I will do my blood work another day, when they not busy...

Dr. Anderson is one of the kindest most personable doctors I’ve encountered in the city. She is super knowledgeable but also has a very relaxed and casual bedside manner which is comforting and makes you feel like a human. The wait time wasn’t quick but it wasn’t beyond a normal expected wait. The only negative thing I could say is that the nursing staff could be trained better.
Dr. Anderson herself was great, but the office experience was not. I never received a confirmation of the appointment until I called the morning of - in itself not a big deal. But when I got to the office and filled out my paperwork, I was told they couldn't accept my card for a copay since I wasn't in their system yet. This led to me traipsing around Broadway for the next 15 minutes trying to find an ATM to get the amount of cash I needed. Information like this really needs to be communicated in advance so the patient can come prepared. It was 10:30 (half an hour after appointment start) before everything was settled, and 11 am before I finally got to see the doctor. Again, Dr. Anderson herself was great - no complaints there. But the office management needs to improve.

I'm SO glad I found Dr. Anderson, she's kind and VERY knowledgeable. A rare find in primary care for NYC, I couldn't recommend her more highly.
Verified patient
Dr. Anderson is a pro with an excellent bedside manner. The thing I most appreciated with her was her patience. Never did I feel like I was being rushed out of the appointment. She took the time to answer all my questions in detail and I really came away from the appointment feeling like she cared. I am an immigrant whose first language is not English, and Dr. Anderson explained everything in a way I understood. A definite recommend.

The first visit was because I was sick. I came in and they saw me right away. The doctor, during my exam, took a phone call when I was telling him my symptoms and wanted to prescribe me antibiotics (when I didn't have an infection) and when I asked him why he said most people like to take antibiotics. The next time I went to come in I scheduled over the phone and was told by an employee to rush over and then when I did, the receptionist said that I wouldn't be seen and asked who I spoke to. I said I didn't ask because it hurt to speak and I was trying not to strain my voice and throat. She recommended that I just go to Urgent care. Never have I met someone so rude and unprofessional. They had me leave work early to see a doctor, then they wouldn't let me see a doctor when I arrived in 30 minutes. I do not recommend coming here.
Verified patient
I did not like that the doctor seemed more interested in moralizing about my 1-2 cigarettes per month than listening deeply about the symptoms I came to her about. I think she's probably a nice person and I'm sure is competent, but I walked away feeling unheard and not very helped. She also didn't seem interested in investigating or allowing me to investigate the trouble we were having with my insurance card (then blamed me for leaving it when she left it in the copier). Just an unpleasant experience.

Excessive wait time.
Verified patient
The wait seemed to be due to an insurance screwup on Empire's part. The person at the office was very patient with them and courteous to me. Dr. Anderson is terrific: she makes time for you to let her know what's going on. She asks good questions. She is thorough with a light touch.0
Verified patient
Need to make it easier to speak to the Dr. by phone after 1st consultation. Imperative to be able to get a prescription renewed by phone.

I've been a patient of Dr Anderson for about 5 years maybe a little more. She's a great doctor, the actually checks you each time you go every if you just go for results. She was at another clinic before and when she transferred, I transferred too and I make an effort to fix my schedule so that I can go appointments specifically with her since in my opinion, the other doctors don't compare.
Verified patient
Slight mix-up in the waiting room over my appointment time, but it wasn't a big deal. Dr. Anderson is professional, gentle, experienced, smart, and helpful. I felt very comfortable being with her and asking her questions. The nurses were very kind as well.
Dr. Anderson was very warm and professional. I felt like she had been my doctor for years. The staff is also super. Will definitely be good back.
Verified patient
The office was a little...unconventional for a doctor's office. The rooms were cluttered and multi-purpose. But Dr. Anderson was lovely and seemed very knowledgeable.
Verified patient
They didn't have the vaccine we came to get.

Although I had to wait a while, she's worth the wait. She's very nice, concerned and concerned about her patients. The staff is very helpful and proactive as well. She made me feel very comfortable talking with her. I look forward to our next appointment.
Verified patient
She is wonderful and very knowledgeable.
Verified patient
Had a bit of a wait time of at least an hour but my interaction with the doctor made up for it. She made me feel comfortable and will most likely return

Dr. Anderson is a great listener, patient and seemingly interested in the actual patient. The office on 97th street however is a nightmare. I was there for over 2 hours for an annual check up. The front desk women were slow and on their personal phones, I was sent to a different person for height & weight, doctor, blood work & exam. Between each task I was sent back to the waiting room. The wait time is horrendous and the work is not streamlined. Toilet did not flush... so good luck with a urine sample.
She's great. She will answer your questions so long as you ask, but be advised to be prepared with them because as with any doctor she is time-efficient oriented. She's busy, so expect to wait, but she gets the job done and she smiles. I've seen her for two years now.
All in all, the doctor is very good. She seemed overwhelmed during this visit but won't hold it against her. On the other hand, the staff is absolutely horrible - Very unprofessional, and plain rude. I waited 2.5 hours to complete the full visit.
She was great (Anderson) minus her leaving mid-appt to take a call (which happens and I understand that) but the office was unorganized and not clean enough. The nurse barely understood what medications I was on and I basically had to help her find them all on the computer. They also didn't tell me until it was time to pay that they don't accept credit cards. When I went in for my blood work, the technician had her entire take out lunch on exam bench.

2nd time at this office and felt comfortable as always. I was treated great and felt comfortable and at ease with the recommendations. The office is close to home and the staff is great. The Dr. is extremely pleasant and very receptive.
Verified patient
Dr. Anderson is delightful! She was so kind and so responsive to all of my questions. She also went out of her way to write me two referals and I really appreciated that!
Verified patient
Very personable, patient, committed to spending time with each patient, so worth the wait. Highly professional and a great physician overall.
