Dr. Anisah Prueitt Shahidzadeh is a native Texan. “Dr. S”, as her patients and staff like to call her, obtained her Bachelors in Science with Honors at the University of Puerto Rico, and proceeded to obtain her Doctorate in Optometry at the University of Houston in 2004. She has been practicing therapeutic optometry for more than seven years. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.
Dr. Shahidzadeh is dedicated to practicing optometry to the highest level of professionalism and scope of practice. Dr. S is both experienced and skilled at the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, including “red eye”, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathies, and dry eye conditions. Dr.S is an experienced Certified Glaucoma Specialist with years of experience. She is also skilled at superficial foreign body removal, managing ocular trauma, and inserting punctal plugs for the treatment of dry eye. Dr. S manages pre and post-op care for cataract surgery, Lasik and PRK refractive surgery.
Dr.S. is an expert in determining your ideal spectacle prescription and performs thorough eye health examinations using the most advanced technologies available on each patient she cares for. Dr.S enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses for both adults and children and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
She truly enjoys seeing patients of all ages, and performs each exam to the highest degree of detailed care that she would expect for her own family.
Dr. Anisah Shahidzadeh married her college sweetheart, Dr. Rassa Shahidzadeh in 1998. They have been happily married for over 13 years and have two beautiful young children. Being a great doctor, mother and wife are all primary goals of Dr. S. Her love for her Faith, family and profession have helped form her sense of responsibility, honesty and sincere care she gives to each patient and family that she sees in her practice.
