Doctor Anjum comes from a family of physicians. Her passion was to serve the community which was taught to her by her family. Her father, being diabetic, was the start of her journey of becoming a doctor. Throughout the care for her father, she excelled in learning everything about diabetes and educating others on the way.
As she excelled in her academics in Dr D Y Patil Medical College and completed her internship in King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital Mumbai India, her journey took her to United States of America. After completing the USMLE, she received her post match in Northshore Forest Hills Hospital New York. After completing her internship there, she applied and got into Emory Family Medicine Residency program in 2005. Upon completing her residency she joined the Veterans Affairs (VA) in 2008 and has over 10 years of professional experience helping and working in that challenging field. Over the years she has gathered experience working at Grady Hospital, Emory Johns Creek, Gwinnett Hospital and Wellstreet Urgent Care by Piedmont.

This has been one of the worst experiences I have had to deal with from anyone in the medical field in a very long time, the dr first mislead me into keeping the appointment after I made one for 15:30 and then was told that the dr does not come into work until 16:30, I kindly asked to just have appointment cancelled.. dr then called me direct and told me she would be there at 15:30 to see me if I kept the appointment.. she didn’t come in until 16:30... i had to sit there for about an hour filling out all the paperwork i done in Zocdoc, I was told that Zocdoc does not send them our paperwork.. well after that I was called into back by what I gathered was a new nurse! She started asking ALL the same questions I filled out in Zocdoc AND that I had just finished filling out in waiting room!! I was ready to walkout by now.. 10-15 mins later the dr came in, pretty routine.. want me to have blood drawn for test!! Ok.. so I go out to other office, nurse starts to try to drawn blood... missed.. ouch!! Tries again.. missed again.. ouch.. tries again in other arm.. missed.. hits nerve.. SHITZZZZ that hurt.
Dr tells receptionist/nurse to do it.. she tries.. missed.. ouch.. tries again.. missed.. OUCH!!! 5 times before doctors says “you just want to go to labcorp” unbelievable...
well I walk out with sore arms.. paperwork for labcorp, hour or so later receptionists calls, “just wanted to let you know we got your Zocdoc paperwork” I laughed to myself instead of getting angry!!!
3 days later I cancel my follow up appointment via there messaging system in there app, nobody replies, did get call from dr that NIGHT!! That she was closing the practice down until it’s properly staffed!!
I do not recommend this practitioner at all..

Very thorough and compassionate doctor. She listened to all my health problems in a timely manner. Her office hours are great, works very well for me. She has the best self pay prices. I got the primary care doc who is personable, felt that I am in safe hands.
