Dr. Ankit Patel is a board-certified otolaryngologist with special interest in nasal & sinus disease. He has dedicated his career to providing compassionate care to patients with nasal, allergy, and sinus problems. Dr. Patel’s additional clinical interests include pediatric ENT, thyroid disease, snoring & sleep apnea management, and hearing loss.
Dr. Patel received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with Bronze Tablet honors. Dr. Patel graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, where he received the Alfred Furstenburg award as top graduating otolaryngology student. He then completed his Otolaryngology residency at the University of Illinois Eye & Ear Infirmary and was named Chief Resident by his faculty. Dr. Patel subsequently completed a fellowship in Rhinology (Nasal & Sinus disorders) and advanced endoscopic sinus surgery at Stanford University Medical Center.
Dr. Patel has authored numerous medical publications and textbook chapters on sinus disease, and regularly lectures at national ENT meetings regarding sinus care. He is dedicated to providing innovative care for his sinus patients. He has expertise in advanced non-surgical management for nasal & sinus disease, as well as minimally invasive surgical sinus management, nasal polypectomy, endoscopic skull base surgery, minimally invasive tumor resection, and endoscopic cerebrospinal fluid leak repair.
Dr. Patel is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a fellow of the American Rhinologic Society. He is also a member of the American Rhinologic Society, Illinois State Medical Society, and Will-Grundy Medical Society.
