ANNE ROSE N. EAPEN, MD, FACP is a board certified internist practicing in the Northern Virginia area since 1990. Born in Michigan, she graduated summa cum laude from Yale University with majors in Biochemistry and Economics and from Cornell University Medical College with an MD. She completed her Internal Medicine residency in a Cornell training program in New York. She is particularly interested in cardiovascular medicine, diabetes and women's health issues. Dr. Eapen has been awarded 3 year recognitions since May 2006 by the American Diabetes Asso./National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Diabetes recognition program and since January 2008by the American Heart Asso./American Stroke Association/NCQA Heart-Stroke Prevention program. Dr. Eapen has been a Washingtonian magazine "Top Doctor" since 2005. She actively participates in medical education being on the clinical faculty of University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University medical schools. She is also actively involved in patient and physician advocacy and is a board member of the Medical Society of Northern Virginia and was on the Governor’s Council of the Virginia Chapter of the American College of Physicians. She had been a long time volunteer and instrumental in establishing the adult clinic at what is now Healthworks Northern Virginia's Herndon site providing free health care to the uninsured lower-income in the Northern Virginia area. Currently, she is the physician-manager for Project Access of Northern Virginia which helps the safety net clinics obtain much needed specialty care for the lower income uninusred. Her hobbies and interests include physical fitness, hiking, piano, gardening, and fine wine.
