Dr. Ann is originally from the Southwest Side of Chicago, but grew up in Downers Grove. While attending Montini High School, she worked for a local optometrist and developed a deep passion for eye care and helping people see.
Dr. Surdich-Pitra, attended Illinois Benedictine College in Lisle. She then when on to attend the well respected Illinois College of Optometry. After graduating from The Illinois College of Optometry in 1995 she entered into private practice. Dr. Surdich-Pitra's, expertise includes contact lenses and Dry Eye Syndrome. She is able to treat all conditions from routine needs to extreme needs - such as a disease related cornea. She also specializes in non-surgical alternatives to refractive surgery and Bifocal/ Multifocal contact lenses.
Dr.Surdich-Pitra, is a proud member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association since 1991. In 2004 and 2006 Dr. Surdich-Pitra was awarded the Top Optometrist Award by the Consumers' Research Council of America.
Dr. Surdich-Pitra is also a dedicated mother of two. Being a mother, a doctor, and a business owner is challenging she finds rewarding.
