It is a habit between me and my provider to order lab tests before the office visit and discuss results during visits.
Unfortunately, this last visit when I emailed Dr Raj to order labs, I was told the protocol changed, that labs are ordered after being seen by a doctor. Aside from physical exams, labs are important because of my multiple chronic conditions. Now, I have to either make another appointment to discuss the results or call or email Dr. Raj to discuss the results. Her response might take time because of her busy practice.
Please consider going back to the usual procedure as it will save a lot of time for both parties and for a comprehensive doctor’s visit.

I have been issued an order for an MRI, but cannot go to St. Francis in Evanston because I have a Spinal stimulator and have to go to another hospital further away and cannot get an appointment at all. Same for another MRI for my hand. I have been waiting over 4 months.

Dr Raj understood that my shoulder was painful and did not ask me to do a lot with my arm. My meeting was mostly to check me out to do shoulder surgery and asked about feelings my other doctors might have had about that (positive or negative). She is very knowledgeable and understands how confusing things can be at a time like this. She suggested I check with my psychiatrist for help to lower my anxiety about the surgery (I have been thru 3 surgeries for different injuries and I get a bit tense. Dr Raj figured that out and came up with a suggestion that might help me. I took her advice! And I feel more comfortable.
