It was a teaching hospital, but the students know how to administer care jobs better than many other older doctors.

It was alright. Doc was in some kind of hurry i guessed.
My first visit to her last year was better than this time around. Dr. S. downplayed all symptoms I was feeling. She made it seem like I shouldn't have even come in. The way she said, "You could have scheduled a televisit" and "we have a headache center you know" were tell tale signs. Also, her statement that her expertise is epilepsy further made me think this way. I would have had no problem if her office contacted me before my appointment to put me on a more appropriate neurologist's schedule. Added to this, the long, double-sided intake form I completed was not even looked at by her or her med student who did the intake. It sat on the desk. I touched it more than they did. Finally, my appointment details were recorded incorrectly on the FollowMyHealth app. Please don't say my BP was higher than it actually was, thank you. I've been a fan of GW MFA for some time, but lesson learned in asking thorough questions before an appointment, so you don't feel like you've gotten the bum's rush.

Very professional

Dr. Sharma Sheth is a smart and effective medical practitioner but her fellow who did my initial work up left a lot to be desired. I spent most of my time with him and I do not think he understood much of what I was saying. There was a difficult language barrier which made explaining symptoms, etc. challenging. Additionally, when searching for a doctor I was looking for someone who specializes in headaches/migraines. Dr. Sharma focuses in epilepsy and therefore was not an expert in the area that I was to be seen for. I would credit this issue to ZocDoc not filtering the neurologists by sub-specialty.
Dr. Sharma was quick, efficient, and knowledgeable. I had virtually no wait time and I was in and out in pretty quickly. I would highly recommend Dr. Sharma.

This was among the worst medical experience I’ve ever had. Doctor was in a rush and very frantic. She provided no clear steps for treatment. I would NOT recommend.
Very knowledgable
I thought Dr. Sharma was highly professional. She didn't spend a lot of time with my son, but it wasn't exactly necessary ... just a straight in-and-out kind of neurologist doctor visit to keep the medications going. I did, however, like her recommendations about how my son's future might go concerning his seizures (or lack of them, because the medication works). She talked of aspects of his case that I hadn't thought of before, and both my son and I left feeling like he was in good hands.

Dr. Sharma was thorough in her explanations, but her fellow/resident and her didn't seem to be on the same page. She seemed to forget some of the details her resident briefed her on before she entered the room. I ended up spending about triple the amount of time with the resident than Dr. Sharma, but I guess that's what you sign up for when you choose a learning hospital. I don't have anything particularly negative to say, but this definitely isn't the practice to go to if you need some hand holding and are nervous about your condition. They get right down to business.
