Dr. Anuranjan Bist is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who has been practicing for over 12 years. His medical career began in Bombay, India where he received his Bachelor of Medicine at Topiwala Medical College. He received a Master in Public Health with an emphasis in Psychiatric Public Health at the University of South Carolina and finished his residency at Brookdale University Hospital in New York, where he served as a Chief Resident in his final year.
Dr. Bist has also taught in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
His practice philosophy is Integrative care. It can be beneficial to those who have not seen results from multiple treatments offered by the conventional medical approach, for those who want to avoid side effects from psychotropic medications, and for those patients who are sensitive to medication or unresponsive to psychotropic drugs. Patients who are searching for a more natural approach to health in terms of balancing the mind, body and spirit will benefit from the Holistic approach offered by Integrative Psychiatry.
Integrative modalities of treatment emphasis the mind-body-soul connection in mental health symptoms, and include interventions such as Nutritional and Vitamin/Herbal Supplementation, Meditation and Mindfulness Techniques, Neurofeedback, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and Tomatis method. Most treatments are non-invasive and they rarely cause the unpleasant or long-lasting side effects that can be associated with medication.
A complementary therapy can be used in addition to, or instead of, conventional medicines. Dr. Bist uses integrative approach to treat Depression, Anxiety, OCD,ADHD/ADD, Insomnia, Autism,Dyslexia/Reading problem and Anger.

Dr. Bist saw me right away, no waiting, we had a good visit, I was full of anxiety before the visit however Dr. Bist is good about helping me to see that I have options and I don't just have to keep doing the same thing and not getting results; Talking to Dr. Bist has helped me learn how to communicate and understand my mother; We are a work in progress, but at least we have to started.
