Wonderful, she convinced my daughter the important of making better/good choices (food and eating habits)and she took it very serious. She does not drink juices or sodas anymore. She drinks Water and milk only. My family tried for 2yrs but it took Dr. Chander less than 30min and its working. Thank you Dr. Chander!

Born in Nyack, NY, Dr. Chander lived in New Orleans for 10 years and eventually moved to Augusta, Georgia. She was awarded an academic scholarship to Oxford College of Emory and Emory University, graduating in 1999. She then attended St. George’s University School of Medicine and Clinicals at Brooklyn Hospital Center, graduting in 2004. Dr. Chander completed her pediatric residency at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in New York. Following her residency, she practiced pediatrics in Lumberton, NC for 2 years. Here she worked with inpatients, outpatients and managed premies in the NICU. For the past 2 years, Dr. Chander has worked in Lynchburg, VA at an inner city health center.
Dr. Chander is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her special areas of interest include childhood obesity and nutrition, asthma and atopic conditions such as eczema and allergies
Outside of the office, Dr. Chander enjoys running and traveling with her husband.
