I love Dr. Major. I get frustrated with the wait time and what feels like distractions on the part of the staff. When I came in, there were no other patients. I think I waited a good 20 mins before being taken in for vision tests. Dr. Major was on a phone call and it took a while before she came in the exam room. Next time I will remember to ask how long I needed to wait for eyes to dilate because that was a good 20 mins until I asked for doctor just as the tech was returning to do final test. And then it felt like a long time that I was waiting for Dr. Major to come back for final look at images. All nice people, but it feels like you are there for a long time when you don't have to be. Allow two hours for the annual check-up, not including time if you are getting glasses. In fact, I would recommend going elsewhere for lenses. I had serious challenges with Rx and lab last year.

Dr. Major graduated with distinction in chemistry from Temple University's Honors program in 1999. She earned a second bachelors degree in Visual Science, and later a doctorate in optometry at Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University). Thereafter, Dr. Major completed a residency in Family Practice optometry at Northeastern State University and the W.W. Hastings Indian Medical Center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Her core expertise includes ocular disease management, pediatric/developmental optometry and contact lenses. She takes pride in providing superior optometric (eye) care to a diverse population with primary focus on preventive care and health maintenance.
Dr. Major is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She has published several articles in various professional journals, and remains active in the professional arena.
In her personal time, Dr. Major enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, theatric/comedic entertainment, reading and faith based activities.

Dr. Major was great. She was very informative. However my issue is that each time I go for a ROUTINE EYE exam, my insurance is always billed for a Diagnostic exam. I never come in to complain about a problem, just simply for a routine eye exam. My insurance covers routine eye exams at 100% of the contracted allowance, but my health insurance is charged one fee, then Davis vision gets charged a fee as well. I understand this is a business, but this does seem a little unethical.

Dr. Major was nice, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and further explained things when I didn't understand something. I felt completely taken care of and have definitely found my new optometrist. Her staff was friendly and helpful as well.
