Arlen Marin, MS, RD / LD is a bilingual (English and Spanish) registered dietitian and became passionate about nutrition ever since she saw her own mother battling with health issues and wanted to become that support system for her family. After graduating in 2003, she has worked in community nutrition, corporate wellness and in her own private practice. Arlen has also received training in Motivational Interviewing techniques to help facilitate behavioral change when providing nutritional counseling for her clients. She currently practices mostly via virtual consultations, supporting her clients with diabetes management and prevention, weight management, disease prevention/wellness, healthy eating and cooking techniques. Arlen strongly believes in using food as medicine to prevent and reverse chronic health issues and practices with a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach to better support her clients. Arlen’s personal nutrition philosophy is centered on “including rather than excluding food groups” and about creating a healthier relationship with food. Arlen obtained her Masters of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition at Florida International University. She completed her clinical dietetic rotations at Jackson Memorial Hospital and Baptist Hospital in Miami, Florida. When she is not working, Arlen enjoys cooking and loves creating Indian + Latin fusion recipes. She also enjoys being a mom and finds this to be the best job on earth!
