Dr. Vamadaven was born and raised in New York City. His interest in medicine was influenced by his father’s enthusiasm and joy working as an emergency room pediatrician in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Vamadevan specialized in gastroenterology to build long lasting relationships with patients and perform advanced endoscopic procedures.
Dr. Vamadevan is a board certified gastroenterologist and advanced endoscopist. Dr. Vamadevan has served as Chief of Gastroenterology at Inova Alexandria Hospital and Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Vamadevan has authored multiple articles and book chapters on advanced endoscopic techniques and inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr Vamadevan lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, also a physician, and his two children. He enjoys playing sports with his children, traveling, living an active lifestyle, and listening to all genres of music. He has also volunteered for national and international medical relief efforts.

The doctor's office management is equivalent to zero. When I made an appointment, the system showed that he accepts my insurance that I have and then made a phone call to confirm the same and the staff said "yes" the insurance is acceptable. I drove 33 miles to get there and then the staff tells me that the insurance provider is not acceptable with the doctor's office and that they forgot to update the system. Never try this doctor and waste your time.

After I checked in and filled out my papers, I was brought into an exam room right away. The nurse was very nice and friendly! Dr. Vamadevan came in shortly after.Often, doctors office visits can be very stressful but he was very nice and comforting about what I was going through. Highly recommend this office and Dr. Vamadevan!

I don't know where to begin: friendly staff, no wait in lobby, nice and comfy facility. I walked in clueless about my medical conditions going on and I walked out feeling like I was in good hands. I have tests to follow up with to figure out what's going on, but my initial visit was great! No other doctor could give me specifics on what it could be wrong with me, but Dr. Vamadevan listed all of the red flags from my symptoms as well as telling me what could be wrong with me. He was very informative, unlike any other place I visited.
