Her office is incredibly efficient and responsive. I really enjoyed my first appointment with her - after years of visiting an endocrinologist who was not responsive nor friendly, it was refreshing to meet her. She is so knowledgeable about thyroid hormones and answered all of my questions well.

Dr. Ashita Gupta, MD, MPH, ECNU, is an integrative endocrinologist and experienced thyroid specialist. Dr. Gupta offers a combination of conventional medicine with evidence-based holistic approaches to hormonal health, with a focus on thyroid conditions such as hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s disease, Graves’ disease, thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer. She treats diabetes and conditions related to insulin resistance, such as prediabetes and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She also prescribes bioidentical or compounded hormone replacement therapy if indicated to peri-menopausal and post-menopausal women. Dr. Gupta offers dietary and nutritional guidance including supplements, botanicals and nutraceuticals.
Dr. Gupta has completed postdoctoral fellowships in integrative medicine and in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. She has additional imaging certifications in neck ultrasound from AACE and AIUM for diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided biopsy of thyroid nodules. Thyroid ultrasounds and biopsies are performed in-office by Dr. Gupta herself. *Please note that Dr. Gupta is not a functional medicine practitioner and does not refer to or interpret functional medicine testing.

Very vague and unhelpful advice. Most of the stuff that she suggested, one can look up on the internet. Also, this didn't fall under a specialist visit so it was not covered under medical insurance. I was honestly disappointed and let down from this visit. She couldn't give me a diagnosis either. There are better endocrinologists out there.

I had really high hopes for this doctor given the outstanding reviews, but I left the visit less than satisfied. Her office is beautiful, the staff was fine, but I was not satisfied with the consultation. When I started describing my symptoms, instead of listening to my concerns, the doctor generalized my symptoms and started talking about what "most people" experience. When I tried to explain further, the doctor continued to be dismissive and made assumptions about my lifestyle choices. Instead of her offering diagnostics and next steps, I had to ask her for the prescription I felt I needed. The prescription was poorly written which caused difficulties at the pharmacy. I do not recommend this doctor.

Dr. Gupta spoke with me and explained everything in a very easy to understand way. I really enjoyed the aesthetics of the office, was much nicer than I expected! I really felt like she knew what she was doing and had I needed to come back (my blood tests were all negative) I would be happy to return to the office and feel good knowing she was treating me.

Dr. Gupta is just like any other doctor, but is disguised as a wellness doctor. She kept staring at her computer, didn’t really look up or ask me any deeper questions than the usual symptoms and had no real new advice. I expect this from the docs I’ve seen at other practices but she bills herself as more holistic. For this, I can go to a doctor associated with a practice or a hospital so all my charts are in one place. Not worth it.

I was very impressed with Dr Gupta’s knowledge and bedside manner. She made me feel comfortable and confident regarding her treatment recommendations. I would highly recommend her for anyone dealing with thyroid issues.
