Dr. Ashka Patel received her bachelors degree from University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry. She completed her clinical training with an emphasis on ocular disease while at SUNY College of Optometry. She is trained in providing comprehensive eye care and fitting soft contact lenses; in addition, she is TPA certified to treat various eye diseases and co-manage pre and post-operative surgical care.
Dr. Patel has been recognized for her outstanding volunteer commitment and community service. She was inducted into the Gold Key International Honor Society and was a recipient of the Morton L. Kimmelman Memorial Award for her leadership in organized optometry. Dr. Patel is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the New York State Optometric Association.
Dr Patel has many hobbies outside of work including spending time with friends and family and traveling.
