The doctors are always great here, however the assistants who check you in, weigh you, and take your blood pressure etc can be very off putting to downright rude at times. This aspect of River Hills is very hit or miss. I go there for the doctors.

Ashton grew up just north of Dallas in Allen, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. in Biomedical Science in 2012. Her passion for medicine grew in college through medical missions. She continued her education at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio, obtaining a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2014.
After completing her training Ashton moved to Austin and has spent the past five years working in internal medicine in Georgetown, Texas. She is excited about the opportunity to transition to family medicine and participate in the care of entire families while developing lasting relationships. Ashton is a member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and Central Texas PA Society.
In her free time she enjoys church, running around Town Lake, traveling, and spending time with her two dogs, family and friends.

Ashton Schutza PAC along with nurse Alex are such an incredible team. Despite the endless amount of patients they see daily, both are so professional, warm and comforting and take the time to listen. This is very rare, especially during the COVID-19 epidemic.
I started off as Ashton’s patient in 2019. I was so impressed by her expertise in my ailments, the quality of treatment and her warm bedside manner that I recommended her to the rest of the family.
When our family had medical issues in 2020, Ashton, Alex and the team at River Hills Family Medical took such good care of us. I couldn’t ask for better medical providers, they are the best. I am so grateful, thank you so much!

I had just moved to the area, was in between insurances, and needed to see a doctor to update my prescriptions. I got an appointment the next day and Ashton was knowledgeable, helpful, listened, gave me great care, and even planned next steps with me. The whole office & staff was kind and great at social distancing. Overall the whole appointment was wonderful! I will definitely be using this place for my primary care if it's in my next insurer's network! Highly recommend!
