Dr. Villa is one of the Top Interventional Cardiologists in Florida. He has successfully performed more than 12,000 coronary and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures as well as structural heart interventions throughout his career. His specialties include complex Radial coronary interventions including chronic total occlusions, orbital, rotational and laser atherectomy and stenting using percutaneous left ventricular assist devices; structural heart interventions including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, percutaneous mitral valve repair, ASD and PFO closures; endoluminal abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, Carotid stenting and limb salvage for critical limb ischemia. He is currently a principal investigator for bioabsorbable coronary stent trials, the new orbital atherectomy device and Near-infrared spectroscopy intravascular ultrasound for detection of vulnerable plaque trials.
Dr. Villa has published and lectured extensively on different topics in Cardiovascular Medicine, and he is a leader in new Endovascular Therapies and Preventive Cardiovascular Medicine.
