Dr. Barbara Burggraaff received her medical degree at the University of Iowa. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the world- class academic and research facility of University of California in Irvine and is a board certified Diplomat of the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Burggraaff has been in private practice in North Carolina for over 10 years and has enjoyed being of service to a diverse population.
Dr. Burggraaff is also board certified in Sleep Medicine by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She is one of the only physicians in the region to be boarded in both Otolaryngology (ENT) and Sleep Medicine and has served as Medical Director for various accredited sleep laboratories throughout the area. She has a strong background and also specializes in Endoscopic Sinus surgery and Balloon Sinuplasty.
Dr. Burggraaff enjoys a collaborative relationship with specialists and other practitioners in the area and strives to bring a comprehensive patient centered approach to her practice. In her spare time, you may find her out at the stables with her horse Cisco and Corgi Daisy. She also enjoys running and oil painting.

I was very impressed with Dr. Burggraaff's questions and then careful listening. Rather than offer suggestions on what my health issue might be, she continued to collect more information from diagnostic tools before presenting her conclusions. This made me feel a lot more comfortable.
