I have been coming to Barbara since I was 16 which was 14 years ago! I was having problems with heavy periods and severe cramping. She spent the time to listen and make me feel at easy. To this day, she takes time to listen and gives me great advice. She is patient, thorough, knowledgable, a good listener, and more importantly really cares about me as a person...

Barbara is originally from Georgia where she attended West Georgia College, now known as The University of West Georgia where she obtained her degree in Nursing. After several years of working in Women's Healthcare, as a Registered Nurse, Barbara decided to continue her education at San Jose State University in California. She completed the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program then moved to Texas where she became a Nurse Practitioner. Barbara joined Dr. Godat in 1995 and has enjoyed caring for patients and working with Dr. Godat and the staff for the last 20+ years.
Barbara and her husband, Dave, have been married for 30+ years. Together they have one son and 2 cherished granddaughters. Barbara says that she loves working in Women’s Healthcare and cares deeply for our patients. “I have a more holistic and complete care approach to serve our patients.”
