Barbara is an absolutely wonderful Psychotherapist. She balances understanding and empathy with persistence, and so gets down to the bottom of issues. It can be hard to start and stick with therapy and she makes it feel comfortable and possible. Working with Barbara also just works. She creates routine, but is also always flexible to permit life's usual changes. She has helped me tremendously and I highly recommend her.

I am a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst with 30 years of experience in private practice. I have broad reaching experience in general mental health concerns and have helped people with a very wide array of problems. I have particular expertise working with problems of adolescents and young adults, trauma and traumatic loss, gender and sexuality issues. I strongly endorse that the most curative factor in any form of psychotherapy or psychoanalysis is the quality of the therapeutic relationship.
