She received her Master’s degree in Nurse Midwifery with High Honors from Yale University in 2006. She graduated magna cum laude from Western States Chiropractic College, Portland, Oregon in 1978, earned her M.S. in Human Nutrition from the Nutrition Institute at the University of Bridgeport in 1997 and Certification in Clinical Densitometry from the International Society for Clinical Densitometry in 2012. She received additional post-graduate training as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, as a Lactation Consultant, in Limited OB Ultrasound from Jefferson Ultrasound Research and Training Institute, in Endometrial Biopsy from the American College of Nurse Midwives, in
Vaginal Pain from the International Society for The Study of Vulvovaginal Disease, from the Institute of Women’s Health and Integrative Medicine in Portland, Oregon, and certification in Botanical Medicine from the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy. She has served as a primary investigator for the FDA in the use of the cervical cap as a birth control device. She has lectured at Albert Einstein Medical School, University of Bridgeport Chiropractic College, and Nutrition Institute at U.B. She has served on Health Advisory Board of the Portland Women’s Health Center. Most recently she has worked as a Nurse Midwife on the Navajo Reservation in Fort Defiance, Arizona, on labor and birth services in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and in OB/GYN clinics in New York City and Connecticut. She currently is devoted to private practice in Westport, CT.
