Dr. Barbara Sharief graduated from North Miami Senior High School and immediately started Miami Dade Community College. She later graduated from Jackson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and obtained an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Miami Dade Community College. Dr. Barbara is one of the youngest persons to have passed the RN boards in the State of Florida. She continued her educational pursuit and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Degree from Florida International University. Dr. Sharief obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wilkes University Pennsylvania.
Dr. Barbara has over 30 years of experience in the specialized field of issues pertaining to medically complex children and adults. Dr. Barbara Sharief's 31-year career allowed her the opportunity to work in various areas of healthcare which includes medical surgical nursing, pediatric hematology oncology, pediatric and adult intensive care, adult/pediatric organ transplantation, HIV/AIDS adult/pediatric care, hospice and home healthcare for children and adults. Through this invaluable experience, Dr. Barbara was successful at creating, and running successful homecare businesses. Currently Dr. Barbara Sharief owns and operates a sole practice in Hollywood and prides herself on providing high quality adult and pediatric care.

I went for an annual physical. Very friendly staff and physician. I felt very heard and trusted her after one visit. She was to the point but didn’t make me feel rushed. She let me ask any questions and relieved any of my concerns. She made sure to explain things to me and not just talk at me. Highly recommend her.
