I can't speak for whether or not he has good diagnosis abilities/a commanding knowledge of current medical developments. I saw him to get a thyroid evaluation (2 visits + blood tests), which he performed well. Extremely kind and nice--he is willing to meet with you as long as it takes and answer any questions you have.

Dr. Zumoff teaches endocrinology and has seen it all in a long career. If you have an unusual problem, he would be a good doctor to consult.

Dr. Zumoff received his medical education from the State University of New York’s Downstate Medical Center. He then completed his medical residency at the Brooklyn Jewish Hospital before continuing on to participate in a pathology residency at the Brooklyn Veterans Administration Hospital. Dr. Zumoff completed two medical fellowships at the Memorial Center and the Goldwater Memorial Hospital. He now welcomes patients to his practice to receive care for conditions such as thyroid cancer, polycystic ovary syndrome, hypo- and hyperthyroidism, growth problems, and adrenal problems.

I don't like leaving negative reviews. However, if you come to the specialist for the first time, you have a lot of questions and all sorts of useful information is really highly appreciated. There was almost no communication going on during this visit. A lot of typing...When I receive the results and the doctor called me, he did not explain anything just said everything was ok, while I expected a more thorough explanation, which I received from another endocrinologist. I understand that doctors are busy but to ease a patient's anxiety caused by providing some explanation is a basic request.
